Backgrounds

Backgrounds on Eternal City work a bit differently than you may be used to from other World of Darkness games. A chronological history is not required to enter RP. Rather, the game uses a set of targeted questions to create immediate hooks and conflicts for storytelling use. This overview creates a general portrait of your character, to be fleshed out during the course of roleplay.

Optional character story-sheets explore motivations, fears, and aspirations in much greater detail. Questions explore the defining moments which shaped your character into the person they are tonight in Rome. Incentive XP is offered on a per-question basis, so you can answer as few or as many questions as you like. Story-sheets can be filled out at any time during or after approval.

Vampire Questions

General:

• Concept: In 1-3 words
• Fullname: Birth name
• DOB: DD/MM/YY (BCE or CE)
• RIP: Date of Embrace
• Sire: Name
• Patron: Name
• Shortdesc: 60 characters or less

Essentials:

• Rome: Why are you here?
• Goals: List three goals, at least one of which is longer term.
• Summary: A general overview about your character and history.

Bastet Questions

General:

• Concept: In 1-3 words
• Fullname: Birth name

• Summary: A general overview about your character and history.
• Vampires: How you will work with the Eternal Senate.
• Wards: Opinion on the Carthaginian wards.

Important! The Bastet in Rome shoulder a difficult, necessary duty to uphold their part securing the destroyed city of Carthage. Circumstances have thrown together a normally solitary race into closer quarters to complete their critical task. Your character must be involved in the wards' renewal somehow. Unaffiliated shifters will not be approved.
